Carbonated drinks are very much not allowed with the band. The bubbles get trapped in your stomach below the band and cause lots of pressure and pain. They also push against the band and can cause problems other than just discomfort.
However... ICEEs from 7-11 are not carbonated!!! I had my first Dr Pepper in 2 months yesterday and it was Amazing!! =)
