Recovery

Surgery was easy =) recovery not so much.

I woke up with lots of gas pressure in chest, arms, and shoulders. Very painful. My recovery nurse told me that was normal. I had several episodes of dry heaves, my body trying to get the gas out, followed by some hyperventalating. They didn't bring Evan in from the waiting room for over an hour and a half - and that was AFTER he had to ask them to see me. Once he got back there, we both felt rushed out. We even asked if we could sit a little longer b/c I was in so much pain and could barely keep my eyes open. They rushed us faster... Not happy with the nursing staff AT ALL and very glad to be home.

Slept most of the day yesterday, had to be sitting up. Gas pressure in chest intensifed if I laid down. Just wish I could burp!!

Overall, feeling better this morning. Pain is more localized and easier to handle. But still hurts a lot.

Best part about this morning was a nice hot shower =) And I put on some Spanx afterward. Just that little bit of tightness on my incisions makes bending, etc so much easier.
