I was asked how I've been so successful... honestly, I haven't followed many of the rules. My weight loss has been from smaller portions and more exercise (used to be none!) than before. I got the band b/c I would eat my emotions and I needed something that would stop me from eating too much and/or thinking about food first.

I have not really changed my "diet" - I've learned a lot and make some better choices. However, I still don't get enough protein, rarely have fruits and veggies, and drink lots of empty calories. Today, I had fruit loops for breakfast and some chips and a slurpee from 7-11 for a snack when I got home.

I didn't want to "diet" for the rest of my life. My band has helped me to not think about food unless I am actually hungry and needing nutrition and to be satisfied on smaller portions.

I am not a band expert. I am blessed and apparently extremely lucky. But I have figured out a lot of things that could help others. I have this blog to vent my frustrations and share my experiences - positive and negative.
